Librarian to present lecture 'Gay Life and Love in the 1950s' Oct. 30

Oct. 18, 2013 - Robert Young, the public service librarian in the Arnold Bernhard Library at Quinnipiac University, will present the talk, "Roger and Frank: Gay Life and Love in the 1950s," at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the Carl Hansen Student Center Piazza on the Mount Carmel Campus.

Young's presentation will focus on a collection of snapshots documenting the couple's life together over the course of a decade, as well as examine the history of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) Americans during the mid-20th century.

This event, part of the Quinnipiac Gay, Lesbian and Straight Supporters (GLASS) student organization's observance of LGBTQ History Month, is free and open to the public.
