Volunteer to work on a food drive, build a house for someone in need and more. You'll find plenty of opportunities to make a difference through one of our many community-service organizations.

Community Action Project (CAP)
As Quinnipiac's largest community service organization on campus, the Community Action Project works to provide student volunteer opportunities in the Hamden and Greater New Haven community. The group's service projects are developed by its service branches focusing on Best Buddies, elderly, hunger & homelessness, special events, and youth. CAP's mission is to continue to promote social change and awareness on campus.

Habitat for Humanity
Fight homelessness by building and rehabilitating houses, raising awareness about the need for affordable housing and raising funds for ongoing initiatives. The group also sponsors alternative spring break trips to various locations within the United States.

Quinnipiac's Big Event
The Big Event is a nationwide day of community service when colleges and universities send teams out to volunteer in the community. At Quinnipiac, the Community Action Project, Student Government Association, and many other university offices across campus gear up to host the Big Event each April. Students dedicate several hours of service to local nonprofit organizations on this one big day in a way that unites current and former Quinnipiac students with national alumni and university faculty and staff. Quinnipiac's Big Event upholds the true university Bobcat spirit of giving back to the local community and maintains its mission to be an experience that the local community and Quinnipiac students look forward to each and every year.

Relay For Life of Quinnipiac University
